The Writings Of Tao Writer – A Sad Day For The United States

Tao Writer (April 17, 1948 -)

Today is my mother’s birthday. If she were still alive, she would be ninety-five years old. I also discovered another one of my favorite people, Kahlil Gibran, was born on this day in 1883. So today is his one hundred thirty eighth birthday. These two individuals born only forty-three years apart filled my life with inspiration and wisdom and continue to do so even from their deaths. It is no coincidence they share the same day of birth.

Sadly this day in the United States is ruined by the egotistical, maniac, soon to be ex-president and complete looser Donald Trump. Because of his inability to accept his political defeat by Joseph Biden he has turned the nation’s capital into a zone of chaos and riot. He spoke to his supporters on Twitter and in the capital today urging them to revolt against the government of the United States to overturn an election he clearly lost. He believes he is above the law no matter what he does. His belief will most likely continue but it is my hope the government will prosecute him to the fullest extent possible under the laws of this nation.

During the sixties a law generally known as the “Incite to Riot Act” was passed to prosecute the Black leaders, Kwame Ture (Stokely Carmichael), Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin (H Rap Brown) and many others who after following their rhetoric and example revolted against the unjust laws of this nation affecting minority groups. The law was made and quickly passed by Congress for the sole purpose of retaining Black leaders. This was in 1968. It defined a riot and one who incites a riot.

Under federal law, a riot is a public disturbance involving an act of violence by one or more persons assembled in a group of at least three people. Inciting a riot applies to a person who organizes, encourages, or participates in a riot. It can apply to one who urges or instigates others to riot. According to Title 18 USCS § 2102 “to incite a riot”, or “to organize, promote, encourage, participate in, or carry on a riot”, includes, but is not limited to, urging or instigating other persons to riot, but shall not be deemed to mean the mere oral or written (1) advocacy of ideas or (2) expression of belief, not involving advocacy of any act or acts of violence or assertion of the rightness of, or the right to commit, any such act or acts.

The law was more recently used in August 2018 following the Charlottesville “Unite the Right” rally to convict two men of violence. I argue this same law should be used against Donald Trump. He invited his followers led by a group he gave recognition to, the Proud Boys, to come to the capital for a “wild” time. He incited them to overthrow the verification of Biden’s victory taking place at the time in the chamber of Congress forming the backdrop for his podium.

Trump wanted his legacy to be the economy, low unemployment figures, and the joining of Middle East enemies into a place of political recognition and trade cooperation. Instead he will be remembered for the death of almost three hundred seventy thousand people because of his failure to take early and appropriate action against the spread of the CoVid-19 virus. He will also be remembered for today and the riotous transfer of power he instigated in the capital he was sworn in four years ago to honor and protect. Donald Trump is a looser and should be place behind bars along with the Republicans who for four years refused to call him on his bullshit and especially those who blindly followed and supported his conspiracy theories leading to todays fiasco in Congress. Trump’s day of reckoning will come January 20th. It may take a bit longer for the rest of them but they will soon follow in his path and that of former Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue. They will be “fired” by the American people.
